Jerry is the heart and soul of the company. His artistic yet practical designs, eye for quality, respect for the land and fair business practices gave original life to the company over 35 years ago and are the leadership goals that drive our company today. He lives in Aptos with his wife and JAL co-owner Cecille Allison.

Our History

In 1974 Jerry Allison persuaded friends at Mountain Flower Nursery to allow him to handle the landscaping jobs that came through the nursery in exchange for buying plants from the nursery. Mountain Flower Landscaping lasted for two years until the nursery closed and Jerry Allison Landscaping emerged.

In 1978, Jerry Allison earned his C-27 Contractor's license and quickly earned a reputation for tackling huge jobs, completing them on time and executing them with a quality that exceeded the expectations of his clients.

Today, Jerry Allison continues to create inspiring landscapes using innovative design, quality components and expert installation.

Design: Jerry Allison brings an even blend of his talented artistic eye, his landscape contracting experience, and his inherent connection with nature to his designs. He works with  in-house architects, graphic designers, and the client to ensure that the design is well suited to the style of the buildings, the surrounding environment, and the client’s own aesthetic tastes.  Jerry Allison Landscaping Inc. has won numerous awards for innovative and natural designs that highlight waterscapes, decks and arbors, rock walls, and native plantings.

Build: Jerry Allison Landscaping Inc. has the highest skilled, hardest working crew in the area. We are very unique in that we utilize our own in-house masons, carpenters, plumbers, electricians, irrigation specialists, and plant care professionals.  By dedicating our own resources to a project, we decrease the extra time and frustration caused through the use of subcontractors.  We greatly value our crew of skilled professionals as our most important resources and treat them accordingly, keeping our crew consistent, well trained and experienced.

Maintenance: Our Maintenance Division follows along with Jerry Allison's general principles of timeliness, quality, and friendly service. Our maintenance crew has been a popular and well appreciated addition.
